Christmas is Coming
There’s nothing like Christmas to force the issue of what gift to buy someone. The deadline is set and it has been for some time. But now is the time to act to avoid a procrastrophe like a prochrasmas. I mean, you missed Black Friday and slept through Cyber Monday and snoozed on Giving Tuesday. What do you expect? Christmas is coming!
If you are like the procrastinating masses, waiting until the last moment to buy that special person that perfect gift, passing on many suboptimal gifts as too firm or too soft, too hot or too cold, you wake up on Christmas Day empty handed. For you, the perfect gift buyer, I offer a solution…in the form of my new book Procrastination for Profit available in paperback on Amazon. Whether it’s your secret Santa at work or your adult child’s stocking stuffer, $14.99 is cheap and let’s face it, they all could use it! They probably won’t even buy you a gift so why spend 25 or 50 bucks on them?
The economics of buying 10 copies of this book and giving them out as gifts is undeniable. I mean, you can’t have procrastinomics without economics. The only problem is that the gift is too cheap, you cheapskate. Maybe no one will notice the price but slip in a fiver for the people you like, just in case. Tell them to bring the book and that fiver to the book signing and I’ll turn it into a signed first edition (aka gold).
By the way, the first book signing is Tuesday, December 17th at Sidecar Supper Club in Batavia from 6 to 8pm. I’ll be there to spin some yarns and sign some books. Books are $20 at the event and supplies are limited so buy yours on Amazon (only $14.99) and bring it along. If you’ve never been, Sidecar is the coolest little pub with lot’s going on including a sweet beer garden with live music all summer, Bluegrass every Sunday evening all year ’round and the most competitive trivia contest in the west suburbs every Thursday, but the craziest thing is the Batavia Lyceum Association lectures on occasional Monday nights where local intellectuals gather to nerd out on obscure history and strange facts. Also, the food is fantastic, and the beer selection is vast. 5 stars!
See you there!
